The largest library in the Netherlands, the Central Branch of the Amsterdam Public Library (Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam - OBA). There is an exceptional section for children to read and play. Membership for children is free. Under the age of 18 months, they also receive a BoekStart briefcase. The 7th floor is the literal high point to any visit, housing the OBA theatre (seats 300) and a restaurant with a terrace offering spectacular views over the city.
